CREATION ENTERTAINMENT + GENE RODDENBERRY: A HISTORY<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/i><\/span>Most of our Creation audience knows that, at 14 years old, we ran one of the first comic conventions in the country in NYC.\u00a0 It was a big hit, and we went on to invent the idea of touring comic and fan conventions, running hundreds around the U.S. and Canada.<\/span><\/h3>\n

In the \u201880s, we realized we could offer a better experience to our audiences by focusing on a specific genre topic and so began our history of running Star Trek conventions. We traveled the country running hundreds of Star Trek Conventions (hard to believe there was only one or two celebrities at each!) and worked with all the beloved actors who all meant so much to all of us, even to this day. We really miss Leonard Nimoy, DeForest Kelley, Jimmy Doohan, Nichelle Nichols, Majel Roddenberry and Grace Lee Whitney.<\/span><\/h3>\n

Our lives changed, however, when Gene Roddenberry became somewhat of a mentor to us. One of the most memorable Creation Star Trek moments was honoring Gene and the entire original cast for the 20th Anniversary at the sold-out Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles — and having Gene tell us that Creation helped keep Star Trek alive (before The Next Generation). What an amazing memory!<\/span><\/h3>\n

In 2025, we had over 150 guests at ST:LV and five days of non-stop live entertainment. One of our goals with all of our conventions is to make them theatrical presentations. From house band The Roddenberries, to major concerts, parties, free movie screenings in the casino, celebrity script readings events, and more, it all really adds to the experience of the week.<\/span><\/h3>\n

Our 50th Anniversary Trek celebration in 2016 was an unbelievably cool event but we are going to blow that out of the water in 2026 when we proudly present another 10-year landmark convention, this time celebrating the amazing 60th Anniversary of Star Trek and Gene\u2019s vision for a better future for all.<\/span><\/h3>\n
