Moments From Fangoria's Weekend of Horrors 2006

Our annual glorious gore-fest FANGORIA'S WEEKEND OF HORRORS returned to Burbank in 2006 for what many said was the greatest horror convention EVER! Luminaries of the horror film and television world held court over 3 packed days of programming, once again presided over by Tony Timpone, Editor in Chief of Fangoria, and Adam Malin and Gary Berman of Creation Entertainment.

Co-CEO Berman said, "It's an honor for Creation Entertainment to be presenting this horrific event with Fangoria Entertainment, the leaders in horror media, and once again Tony Timpone has done an amazing job of bringing in the guests our attendees want to see! And, of course, we would like to extend a special thanks to our presenting sponsor Anchor Bay Entertainment."

Here are just a few of the many highlights of the 2006 show:


MERCEDES MCNAB of Buffy/Angel fame was on hand to promote her new slasher pick HATCHET

TONY TODD, the Candyman himself, came too talk about several of his new projects

KELLY STABLES, of Ring fame, answers questions in a packed house

TOXIE, the TOXIC AVENGER himself, signed autographs on the show floor

DAVID ARQUETTE, seen recently in Eight Legged Freaks, was on hand to promote his new film THE TRIPPER

LLOYD KAUFMAN, legendary head of Troma Films, was on hand to talk about his subversive new film POULTRYGEIST

What would a Fango event be without fans in incredible costumes and makeup?

Ditto!

BRUCE CAMPBELL, a Fango fan favorite, returned for another visit to our event, this time talking about his bestseller, HOW TO MAKE LOVE THE BRUCE CAMPBELL WAY

MASUIMI MAX appeared at sponsor COFFIN CASE'S booth, channeling the spirit of VAMPIRA

Sponsors SCHECTER GUITARS and COFFIN CASE provided custom guitars and coffin guitar cases commissioned specifically for the event, which were in turn signed by all the attending guests of the convention. One reportedly sold for $3000!

THE DEAD DOORMAN, Fangoria's Weekend of Horrors own horrible host, was seen haunting the doorways throughout the venue, offering "the door" to unsuspecting victims

LANCE HENRIKSEN received his well-deserved LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD and answered questions for his legion of fans in attendance

MATT McCOY, popular actor of film and TV, was on hand to talk about his role in ABOMINABLE as well

RYAN SCHIFRIN (right) answers questions about his new Bigfoot hit ABOMINABLE, while proud father, film composing legend LALO SCHIFRIN (he did the score) looks on proudly
